Disney is known by practically every child on earth for its way of making dreams come true. It has brought us princesses, talking toy cowboys, and enchanting characters like Dumbo. Recently, Disney has come out with another movie.

Twenty-six years ago, the classic fairytale, Beauty and the Beast, was made into a cartoon. Now they have made what every girl has been waiting for. The live action Belle. You heard me right.

Belle, played by Emma Watson, is this sweet, passionate bookworm who searches for adventure. I’ve always loved Emma Watson so, when I heard she was going to be Belle I was so excited! Her dad was being held captive by a beast, who seemingly has no heart or pity. He wouldn’t give Belle her father back unless she took his place. Belle, being selfless, took the deal and saved her father from a life of imprisonment. As a little girl, I wanted to be just like Belle and admired how wonderful her personality was. She gave up everything just for one person.

Magical characters like a talking teapot and a goofy, bitter clock began becoming friends with Belle and tried to make her feel at home. They gave her a room in hopes of easing her mind.
Overall, this movie was very well directed and featured strong characters that made you want to be them. Young kids of all ages should see this movie because of just how important it is to not judge a book by it’s cover. Belle got to know this beast who later became a great person with a kind heart.
